About

Greetings to the World!

No matter where you found this site, welcome.

About Me

This is Quartex.

I’ve had many weird IDs before this one, but they were either overused or meaningless, so I abandoned them.

Quartex is derived from the word “quarter,” meaning “divided into four parts.” The “x” at the end just makes it look cooler.

The story behind it is this: if I had to divide my brain into sections, I’d give three-quarters to facing my everyday life, and reserve the remaining quarter to show the world the most unique part of who I am.

And you’re looking at that part right now.

To be honest, this part sounds a bit cringe. Might delete this section later.

About My Hobbies

Sort of rhythm game enthusiast. I’ve played many rhythm games but not expertise in them.

Currently majoring in Computer Science, knows nothing about computers or programming.

Enjoyed messing around some old electronics. Making these devices functional in nowadays is like persuading a prostitute to quit her job.

Learning to make music. I’ve made my first trance-like track called Digital Rain, might write an article about it after I finish the next song.

About This Site

I’ve actually been thinking about setting up my own site for a long time. Whether it’s sharing what I’ve learned or recording my thoughts. The problem was that I didn’t know how to build a website and thought it would be too complicated, so I procrastinated for quite a while. It wasn’t until a friend shared his site with me recently that I decided to seriously make a blog. Big thanks to him — you can visit his site through the link in the Friends section below.

I’ll put basically anything here: some things I’ve learned, some hobbies, and something that even I’m not sure what.

I’m not good at writing. My thoughts tend to wander and my content may feel disorganized. Please bear with me. That said, every article will be revisited and revised in future rereads to fix anything I find unreasonable, so feel free to check back — the posts you find problematic will gradually improve.

Several articles aren’t provided with English translations because they may cause potential confusion due to cultural differences and Internet memes. I’m lazy to make annotations because it would be painful to explain. Thank your for your understanding. If you do interested in these articles, use AI to translate and explain.
